Signing of a collaboration agreement between the Academy of Public Administration and UN Women Moldova on gender mainstreaming in the field of public administration
On 20 May 2021, UN Women Moldova and the Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Moldova signed an agreement on the implementation of a project aiming at providing an extended support for strengthening the capacities of the representatives of central and local public authorities in gender mainstreaming.Date:
The project promotes gender mainstreaming in decision-making processes and public policies, gender sensitive budgeting, as well as the development of 3 e-learning courses (1) Gender Responsive Policymaking, (2) Women, Peace and Security, and (3) Combatting Sexual Harassment in the Workplace.
Having gender sensitive policies and budgets at Central and Local levels that address equally the needs of women and men, workplaces that are free of discrimination and harassment, require a conducive legal framework, clear institutional accountability at all levels well- trained and committed civil servants equipped with gender expertise and skills to act decisively and consistently to ensure that Gender equality is practically integrated in the Planning and Budgeting processes at all levels of Government.

The project will be reflected in the science magazines of the academy, documenting related activities, serving as reference in the future. .The “Civil servants and public officials for gender equality” shall be implemented during May 2021 – December 2022 by the Academy of Public Administration in partnership with UN Women, financed by Swedish Government and European Union.
