National Conference on Women’s Economic Empowerment: “Empowering Women in the Workplace, Marketplace and Community”

The ”Empowering Women in the Workplace, Marketplace and Community” Conference will be a unique opportunity for participants to learn about the best international and local practices for promoting the WEPs, the role of governments and international organisations in fostering women’s empowerment and the next generation’s manifesto on gender equality. 

The event is organised in the frame of Women’s Entrepreneurship Expo 2022 and brings together government and international organisations, as well as businesses united in promoting the Women Empowerment Principles (WEPs), globally and in Moldova.

The Conference will take place on 23 September 2022 and the live broadcast of it will be available on the UN Women Moldova Facebook page.

Agenda, Day I

On September 24-25, a local market featuring products made by women entrepreneurs will be organised, in the frame of Women’s Entrepreneurship Expo 2022. It will bring together more than 70 women local producers who will showcase their products. It will begin with an official opening session followed by the award of the second round of vouchers for women producers aimed at supporting financially the development of their businesses. The market will take place in the Square of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova.

The event is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the private sector.
