On September 7th 2021, UN Women Moldova and the Organisation for Small and Medium Enterprise Sector Development (ODIMM) have signed a collaboration agreement in order to support women who already have or intend to launch their own businesses. According to the agreement, women will be supported both in launching and developing their businesses, as well as in creating long-lasting relationships among businesswomen and service providers both from rural and urban areas.

UN Women Moldova has inaugurated a mural dedicated to gender equality in Chisinau. The event took place on July 15th, at the Technical University of Moldova (TUM). Entitled „The time for equality is now”, the mural illustrates a world in which gender equality has been achieved, where everyone can obtain all they wish for, regardless of gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation. The mural focuses on using art as a catalyst for promoting gender equality, in the context of the Generation Equality Forum which took place in Paris, at the end of June.

24 localities in Ungheni and Cahul districts will promote gender equality and raise awareness of gender-based violence through a large project dedicated to wall art (graffiti). In close collaboration with local authorities and the Urban Spirit, the campaign to raise awareness through mural art – Equality through art will begin this July.
