Splashes of red, pink and yellow flowers dot the vibrant hues of green in a greenhouse and gift shop nestled in the village of Colibași, in the southwestern part of the Republic of Moldova. The owner is a girl with Down syndrome who had always dreamed of opening her own business.

The study „Childcare, women’s employment and COVID-19 impact in Moldova” conducted by UN Women Moldova, in collaboration with UNECE, with financial support from Sweden, was launched in Chisinau, at the beginning of this week.

UN Women and Viorica Cosmetic launched the Campaign to promote a positive body image “#BodyPositivity – Moldova”. The event was hosted by Viorica Cosmetic’s Museum of Beauty, where representatives of Viorica Cosmetic, UN Women Moldova and the Embassy of Sweden started the campaign, followed by a discussion with its protagonists.
