On Friday, 23 September 2022, UN Women Moldova organised the national conference "Promoting gender equality in the workplace, on the market and in the community". The event was attended by 17 companies that signed the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) as well as other companies that support women's empowerment in both the workplace and community. It also brought together government institutions, international organisations and business associations that promote women's economic empowerment in Moldova and internationally.

The Empowering Women in the Workplace, Marketplace and Community Conference will be a unique opportunity for participants to learn about the best international and local practices for promoting the WEPs, the role of governments and international organisations in fostering women’s empowerment and the next generation’s manifesto on gender equality. Participants will also be able to meet Moldova’s WEPs business champions.

The talks were part of You know you can , a month-long UN Women in Moldova campaign that that challenged gender stereotypes and encouraged women and girls to assert themselves as leaders and professionals in all fields, and to fight gender bias and choose any career they wished.
