On October 6, 2022, the distance learning course "Managing cases of domestic violence" has been launched on the platform https://elearn.anas.md/. The course has been developed by National Center for Training, Assistance, Counseling and Education from Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the National Social Assistance Agency, at the initiative of UN Women and with financial support of Sweden.

Sergiu Chilat is a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Alecu Russo State University of Bălți. In addition to teaching, Chilat manages the company Power IT and is the co-founder of the Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI). His efforts focus on promoting the involvement of girls and women in information technology (IT) and combating stereotypes that girls cannot work in IT as successfully as boys.

A local mechanism for socio-economic inclusion of survivors of domestic violence was developed through the EVA project – Strengthened gender action in Cahul and Ungheni districts, financed by the European Union. The document includes a set of measures and stages for the socio-economic inclusion of women (survivors of violence) and their support through professional training, employment, launching of income-generating activities or the initiation of entrepreneurial activities. The mechanism was tested in 12 localities in Ungheni and Cahul districts, and more than 250 women benefited from support for education, training and employment, in order to become economically independent.

As a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians have fled to the Republic of Moldova, looking for a safe shelter. Amid this unprecedented crisis, the Government of the Republic of Moldova, international community, civil society organizations and many volunteers have joined efforts to respond promptly and efficiently to the needs of Ukrainian people. Those involved face many challenges, including maintaining psychological balance. For this reason, many psychologists and psychoterapists have started organizing mental health sessions. One of these specialists is Elena Biceva, President of the Moldovan Association of Gestalt Therapy and Psychodrama, who organizes mental health sessions for public servants involved in refugee crisis response. She explains the role of psychological counselling in crisis situations, as well as how to prevent emotional burnout.

War means not only fights on the front lines but also in the lives of women forced to flee in search of safety. A range of initiatives are being implemented to help women refugees enhance their ITC skills and regain their right to professional and financial freedom. In the context of the event "Digital Connections: Moldova-Ukraine", women refugees from Ukraine, together with women from Moldova, participated in social networking discussions and connected with each other, building community connections for overcoming the challenges they confront.
