Joint dialogue on the implementation of the Istanbul Convention organised by the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova
An event dedicated to the Istanbul Convention took place at the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. Entitled „Joint dialogue – Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence from ratification to implementation”, it was organised on the platform of the Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration in collaboration with UN Women Moldova, National Coalition „Life without Domestic Violence” and with financial support from Sweden.
Through this solidarity concert, 500 representatives of the Government, Parliament, civil society organizations, as well as development partners and mass-media expressed their solidarity with the women and girls from Moldova, that are threatened, suffer or suffered of violence throughout their lives. Sixty-five girls aged 16 to 20 from 13 regions of Moldova learned web development, robotics, and 3D printing at the third edition of GirlsGoIT summer camp that took place July 21-30, 2017, in Chisinau, Moldova. The participants have also visited several technology companies, such as DAS Solutions, Moldcell, Matrix and Tekwill. Additionally, DAS Solutions offered internships for two summer camp participants.
