Over the years, women have changed the world and played a considerable role in accelerating techno-scientific progress through innovation and science. Behind many of the inventions that facilitate our lives today are women. For example, modern medicine has seen significant progress after the one-handed manoeuvrable medical syringe was created. Wireless transmissions, bulletproof vests and solar panels are other important things invented by women that make our existence easier.

The first edition of Moldova’s Women's Entrepreneurship Accelerator kicked off on Tuesday, 6 September. On 17 June, in Chisinau, was launched Moldovan Women’s Parliamentary Caucus. Thanks to the Caucus, all its members will join their efforts to promote gender equality and equal rights for women and men, to prevent and combat violence against women and domestic violence, as well as to contribute to promoting economic independence and economic empowerment of women from the Republic of Moldova and family-friendly policies via initiative and legislative support.
