16 Days of Activism 2025: UN Women Moldova Highlights
As part of the global “16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence” campaign, UN Women Moldova highlighted one of the most widespread yet often overlooked forms of violence against women and girls: digital violence.
Through public events, community-based actions, dedicated online safety resources, digital mobilization, and strategic partnerships, spaces for awareness, dialogue, and support were created. Every activity, every voice involved, and every community reached reinforced a shared message: digital violence is real, it can be prevented, and there is #NoExcuse.
We thank all partners, communities, and individuals who contributed to this collective effort to advance the rights of women and girls.

As part of the global 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign 2025, UN Women Moldova focused on digital violence—one of the most widespread yet often overlooked forms of violence against women and girls. Through public events, community-based actions, online safety resources and digital mobilization, the campaign delivered a clear message: digital violence is real, it can be prevented, and there is no excuse. The activities were implemented with the financial support of the European Union, Sweden, Switzerland and Denmark, reflecting UN Women Moldova’s commitment to sustained action beyond the 16 days.
