This report presents a summary of displacement survey findings commissioned by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in partnership with UN Women. Data were collected before crossing to Ukraine at three main border crossing points (BCPs) – Palanca and Tudora (Stefan Voda district in the South) and Otaci (Ocnita district in the North) between 16 April and 27 May.

The Gender Barometer is the first comprehensive study in Moldova that addresses women's and men's involvement in politics and decision-making. The study was aimed to elucidate gender-specific challenges in politics (the general attitude towards the involvement of men and women in politics, in the life of the political parties, their intention to run, the specific challenges of the candidates, both men and women, in the election process, the activity of the local elected politician), as the decision making process (the level of information on the community development process, the local development priorities, the involvement on different stages of the decision making process). The significant progress obtained in addressing the issue of family violence in the Republic of Moldova is a real fact. Nevertheless, a number of legal, institutional, and policy gaps still persist and need to be tackled. In this context, it is very important to have data and evidence on the prevalence of violence against women, the factors determining this phenomenon, as well as the impact of violence on the health and well-being of women and on the family in general.
