This simplified version of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) was developed together with survivors of violence from Moldova. The Gender Barometer is the first comprehensive study in Moldova that addresses women's and men's involvement in politics and decision-making. The study was aimed to elucidate gender-specific challenges in politics (the general attitude towards the involvement of men and women in politics, in the life of the political parties, their intention to run, the specific challenges of the candidates, both men and women, in the election process, the activity of the local elected politician), as the decision making process (the level of information on the community development process, the local development priorities, the involvement on different stages of the decision making process). Positive Champion - The person who broke the norm and found ways to achieve greater results with the same resources. This term was coined by the women from Moldova who overcame violence and who are helping other women do the same.
