Scoping Study for the Chișinău Safe City and Safe Public Spaces Programme

To assess the level of safety and accessibility of women and girls to public spaces within Chișinău municipality, including those women and girls who may face heightened risks to sexual harassment (SH) and other forms of violence, such as women with disabilities, Roma women, elderly women, etc., a scoping study was conducted to inform the design of the new safe city and safe public spaces programme in Chisinau. It included a desk review and primary research, mainly qualitative, and was guided by the UN Women Global Guidance on Scoping Studies.

The scoping study was prepared by Arina Țurcan-Donțu, Lawyer and Victor Koroli, Executive Director of Alliance INFONET with advice by UN Women.
